Governance Professionals Symposium 2019 Advance Notice
We have been running this symposium since 2012 and feedback from attendees has been extremely positive.
The 2019 symposium has a key focus on:
- Pre and post-election planning – setting an induction and establishment plan for the incoming elected members, critical must do actions, establishing an ongoing programme for the establishment of the new council
- Best practice and information sharing – an opportunity to hear from other council staff on governance-related issues and processes they encounter in relation to their role as a Governance Professional at their Council including a quick-fire session on a variety of topics
- Communication and the Governance Professional – a highly energised and participatory half-day session focusing on communication styles to be led by Elizabeth Hughes, Elizabeth Hughes Consulting, session not to be missed!
The symposium details are:
Thursday 24 January 2019, 915 am – 430pm; and
Friday 25 January 2019, 830am – 230pm
